2007 to Feature Reliability Runs in Two States
For the first time, two America's British Reliability Runs will take place on the same weekend in two different states; one in Wisconsin and a second in Ohio. The runs will benefit two highly rated charities: the Ohio-based Adventures for Wish Kids and the Milwaukee, Wisconsin based Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children. Both runs will set out at 7am Saturday, October 6th, and conclude Sunday, October 7th. Routes for each run are being formulated now and registration for each will open March 1st. Mike and Natalie Seesan are once again planning the route for the Ohio run, so if you liked last year's roads, you're sure to love this year's. Lodging for the Wisconsin run is extremely limited, so please plan on registering early.
Wisconsin Finale to Include Special Car Show
The charity for the run beginning in Janesville, Wisconsin is the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children. The run will finish Sunday in Milwaukee to enable children served by the charity to experience our cars by sitting in and touching them. It should be a terrific opportunity teams to share their enthusiasm for little British cars with kids that otherwise may never have an opportunity to experience them.
ABRR Gets a Mention in Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car Magazine
The March, 2007 issue now on the newsstands features a news brief recapping the 2006 America's British Reliability Run and mentions that in the four years of the run's existence, more than $100,000 has been raised for children's charities.
National Club Sanctions Reliability Run
The Vintage Triumph Register (VTR) is a 2,600 member club for owners of Triumph automobiles. The sanctioning is essentially an endorsement of the run and may encourage club members to register their car for the run. I am working with other National single-marque clubs for sanctioning or endorsement. If you know of any I should be in contact with or can help me in this regard, please let me know. (I serve as a National board member of VTR, so I didn't have to do too much arm twisting!) |
